We breed for a few reasons. Firstly, we want to preserve the breed. Although Sphynx cats are a relatively new breed, they could be endanger of becoming extinct if new, strong, healthy lines free of genetic issues are not regularly introduced. As the breed evolves, it is necessary for us to follow the guidelines put forth by the cat fancy experts of the world in an effort to improve the breed and increase their longevity. Secondly, because sphynx are such uniquely loving creatures, we produce healthy, happy sphynx kittens with sweet temperaments and share them with approved families looking for a new family member.

Beeblebrox Sphynx is a home-based family cattery in the midwest with 2 locations in Michigan in Canada. Our philosophy of breeding is based on a sincere effort to enhance both breed quality and breed longevity. We produce healthy, happy Sphynx kittens while preserving the sweet and lovable personality traits and fun, active temperament and of this amazing breed of cats. We breed for quality and strive to conform to Sphynx standards outlined by CFA. We do have a nice foundation of cats and are continually improving Sphynx lines.

All of our cats live in a home environment. They are part of our family and they sleep in our beds. We have separate quarters for nursing queens and studs and the ability to provide special care for cats that need to have their own space. Our cattery is cleaned daily and a full time assistant is at our home daily to help maintain a cleanly and safe environment.

Contrary to popular belief, breeding is not a profit making endeavor. It is a full time, expensive hobby. Many breeders we have crossed paths with do breed strictly for profit and do not show their cats or strive for breed improvement in the areas of conformation and health. We are not one of those breeders. All proceeds from the sale of our pet quality kittens goes back into the cattery and towards practice improvement and exhibition expenses.

We are very diligent and are currently enhancing our practices in developing a system for tracking long-term pedigree identification/research and genetics.

Our breeders undergo HCM scanning every 12-18 months and are blood typed and DNA tested for genetic issues and attributes.

We guarantee against congenital defects until age 2 and HCM until age 5.
