About Our Abyssinian Cattery

Abayomi Cattery is located in Port Coquitlam, BC, (Vancouver Area) 30 minues from the Washington border. We at Abayomi Cattery dedicate our lives breeding Abyssinians and are honored to share our home with such an AMAZING feline breed. A breed that touches the hearts of everyone, fills our home with much love and laughter... creating wonderful memories that will be cherished for a lifetime. All our Abyssinians are extremely loved and raised as members of our family, with children. Our kittens are born and raised in our home where every kitten gets individual love and attention each day from the moment they are born, to the time they are ready to join their new families. I am ALWAYS present for each and every kitten birth to help assist mom in the delivery, if need be. The newborns precious little lives occasionally need some extra help clearing out the mucus/fluid from their air passages... I am always there to help. I catch up on lost sleep once all the kittens are born.Our Aby’s are known for being called… “Little Lions of Love.”We pre-spoil ALL our kittens so when they leave our home they are affectionate, well socialized and ready to add everlasting love, laughter and companionship into the lives of their new families, for many years to come. As responsible breeders, we pride ourselves in the exceptional health and personality of our cats and kittens as well as the caring and clean in-home environment in which they are raised. We believe nutrition is an extremely important part of ensuring proper growth and excellent health, so we are sure to feed premium quality food to all our cats and kittens. Fortunately our lines have proven to be extremely healthy, yet we always ask our Aby owners to let us know if any health issues arise. It is important that we know and our way to make sure we continue to breed healthy and happy Abyssinians.

All our cats are carefully chosen from Grand Champion lines and are screened for feline health problems. Buying Your Abyssinian Kitten

I am always more than happy to answer any and all questions. Buyers must feel confident and able to provide a lifelong commitment and be willing and able to devote the time needed when adding a new pet into their lives and home.Health, happiness and longevity of our kitties are always our first concern… because WE CARE. Just as we take great pride in the quality of our cats and kittens… we also do into the homes in which our babies are placed.*All our kittens are TICA and CFA registered, vet checked, vaccinated and dewormed before they leave for their new homes. Each kitten comes with a “Kitten Kit” which includes a small bag of food, bag of litter (we are not able to ship the litter), a very informative kitten book, a special toy, coupons for food and litter, a 5 generation pedigree, the kittens “own” health record book (containing information: vaccination and worming dates) and a complete written Health and Genetic Guarantee.Pet kittens are to be spayed/neutered at the appropriate ages, thus helping lower the growing number of unwanted cats in animal shelters and prevent irresponsible breeding practices.Since the life expectancy is MUCH higher for indoor cats, our kittens are sold to Indoor Only homes for their safely and longevity. Away from the dangers of outside… Cars, Coyotes and Theft. We are also strongly against the practices of declawing. There is a wealth of information that indicate cats frequently suffer long term behavioral, emotional and medical problems after being surgically declawed… not to mention how extremely PAINFUL it is..As honest caring breeders, we care deeply about each and every kitten that we bring into this world. Not only do we continue to enjoy raising these beautiful babies… over the years we have had the pleasure to have made so many wonderful lasting friendships.
